Back muscle inflammation

Back muscle inflammation Back pain is one of the most common problems. It is estimated that more than one in two people have experienced back pain at least once in their lifetime.

Causes of inflammation of the back muscles

Inflammation of a muscle is usually caused by trauma or strain to the muscle. The latter factors cause larger or smaller, and sometimes only microscopic, tears. But even the smallest tear can be a perfect breeding ground for inflammatory processes damaging the muscle.

Often, inflammation of the back muscles is caused by what is commonly known as over-inflation. For example, going outside from a warm room when the wind is blowing or the cold is biting and not wearing the right clothing (sometimes we think we're going out for a short time, but it takes very little to cause overexertion), or, conversely, going outside on a sunny and hot summer day and entering an air-conditioned and cool room.

Signs of inflammation of the back muscles

Pain is the most important sign of inflammation. If the inflammation is caused by trauma, the pain may appear immediately, but if the muscle is damaged by strain, exercise, etc., the pain may not appear until a day or so later. As well as increasing the pain, muscle damage also interferes with the function of the back, which can be another sign of inflammation. In some cases, inflammation of the back muscles can also be accompanied by fever.

Importantly, the pain is likely to subside after a while, but if you don't see a doctor, it is likely to recur after a while .

Treatment of inflammation of the back muscles

If you have back pain, whatever the cause, it is advisable to schedule a visit to the doctor to confirm the diagnosis and to ensure that the treatment is accurate and best suited.

During treatment and while waiting for the doctor's appointment , rest as much as possible , avoid physical work, heavy loads on the back and lifting heavy objects.

A special SURFACE or elastic bandage is an excellent solution to relieve the pain of inflammation in the back muscles. There are many different types of back brace available, so choose the one that suits the location of your pain. For example, if you have pain in the lumbar region of your back, a SLEEVE made of elastic material will be a good choice . It is elastic, stretchy and does not restrict movement, and the high quality materials of the splint guarantee that the skin will breathe freely and the moisture will be evaporated efficiently, so that you will not feel any discomfort when wearing the splint.

Your doctor or pharmacist, if you are still waiting for a doctor's appointment, will probably prescribe/suggest anti-inflammatory medication.

Inflammation of the back muscles can also be treated with therapies prescribed by your doctor, such as physiotherapy, heat or cold treatments.

Proper nutrition, immunity boosting, weight control, control of loads and physical work are important for prevention.
