Splint for PIP joint straightening

This splint is mainly used to increase the amplitude of the proximal interphalangeal (PIP) joint. Smaller sizes of this splint can also be used to straighten the distal interphalangeal joint (DIP). When the PIP joint is bent at 15 degrees, the force affecting the PIP joint is approximately 2.3 N. This splint does not affect the movements of the metacarpophalangeal (MCP) joint.
